This national Park is located in the lower most southern region of Satpura Hills. Pench National Park has occupied a huge area of about 758 sq kms and is located on the boundary of Seoni and the Chhindwara districts of Madhya Pradesh. You can see the extension of this forest towards south in the Nagpur and towards the east in Balaghat district. The scenic beauty of this national park is marvelous and so it has intrigued several naturalists like Captain J. Forsyth and Rudyard Kipling.

  • Fishing in the river is strictly prohibited in the park.
  • If you are planning to visit in winter, then woolen clothes must be carried by the tourists.
  • Tourists must visit Kandadev, Kumbhababa and Bagdev Temples as these temples are located within the reserve.
  • This national park has three entry gates, Jamtara gate, Turia Gate, and Karmajhuri gate.
  • The most convenient gate for the Tourists is Turia Gate.
  • For spotting Tigers and some of the other rare animals, the best option is to prefer morning Safari ride.
  • It's not advisable to wear flashy clothes or to put on strong perfumes.
  • You can take your personal vehicles inside the park but it is mandatory to take authorized guide accompanying your trip.
  • It is must to follow and obey the entire guidelines of the national park.
  • Tourists must not pollute the environment.

By Train: The nearest railway station to reach Pench is Seoni Railway Station, which is only 35.6 kms from the park. Another railway station is Nagpur Railway station which is 166 kms from the park. Nagpur railway station is very well connected to the major cities of India. So one can easily reach to National Park without any difficulties.

By Road: You can easily take a bus from Nagpur or Khawasa. This national park is just 12 kms from Khwasa and 185 kms from the major city Nagpur. Nagpur is one of the important city and well connected to the other major cities of India.

Best Time to visit Pench National Park

Best Time to Visit Pench National Park is from October to February, as the weather in these months remain pleasant and the jungle looks beautiful. For Birding, the best months are from November to March. In these months, the birds of different cold countries visit this place to spend winter.
