Tadoba National Park is the most demanded place by the wild life lovers and the nature lovers. It is located at a distance of 112 kms from Chandrapur and 104 kms from the famous city Nagpur. Tadoba zone of Tadoba National Park is one of the most popular places for the tourists.

The authority of the park has restricted the numbers of jeeps for morning and evening Jeep safaris to 112 in the park. In morning maximum 23 jeeps are allowed for Jeep Safari and the same number of vehicles are permissible in the evening also. Out of this, 4 vehicles are allowed from Khutwanda gate, 13 vehicles from Kolara gate and total of 6 vehicles from Navegaon gate are allowed for Jeep Safari in the morning and the same number in the evening are allowed for safari ride in the Tadoba National Park. But Mohurli gate is very popular as gypsies, guides and proper accommodations are available at that gate only. Advance bookings are required for the morning safari and in the evening safari permits are given on the basis of first cum first service.

For security purpose and to make our trip more exciting a guide approved by the forest authorities accompany every jeep safari. Tourists can also enter into the park by showing their personal details and the papers of identification at the entry gate, whereas the foreigners will be required to show their original passport. Unless until the safari rides get completed, none of the tourists are allowed to get down the jeep as it may risk his or her life.

The timings of the Jeep Safari are fixed by the Administration. So, the timings for the morning and the evening Jeep Safaris are fixed. Jeeps for jeep safari are registered with the administration then only they are allowed for excursion. There is some prescribed charge for the entry of the Jeep for Jeep Safari in Tadoba. Before entry, it is must for every jeep to pay entry fee for Jeep Safari in Tadoba. Entire tourists have to follow the rules and regulations set by the authority during the safari ride.

Tadoba Jeep Safari Booking

One can book Jeep Safari in advance, by visiting office of DFO at Chandrapur District which is very near to Tiger Reserve. You can go for spot booking at the most famous gate Navegoan as at the moment no online facility for safari ride is available. You have to hire Jeeps from the local taxi stands which are easily available there with trained drivers.

Important Informations about Jeep Safari in Tadoba
  • The charges of Jeep Safari remain same in all days of safari ride.
  • For Safari ride in Tadoba National Park, one has to carry the printout of the ticket, valid photo and the paper of identification.
  • Private vehicles for safari ride are not permissible inside the Tadoba National Park
  • Every Tuesday is holiday in Tadoba National Park.
  • At the time of the reporting only, you have to pay the charges of tour guide.

Cost of Jeep Safari: Each Jeep Safari cost is Rs 5500 for Indians. In each Jeep Safari, maximum six persons are allowed. Guide charge is Rs 300 who accompanies in each Jeep Safari.

Entry Fee: the entry fee for single Jeep/Canter from Monday to Friday is Rs 5500 and the entry fee for Canter from Monday to Friday is Rs 850. On weekends or in government holidays, the entry fee for Jeep/Canter is Rs 6500 and for Canter the entry fee on these days is Rs 850.

Camera Fee: The camera fee for lenses up to 250 mm is Rs 200 and the Camera fee for lenses 250 mm and above is Rs 250 for single day.

Summer: 06:30 AM-10:00 AM in the morning and in afternoon from 03:00 PM - 06:00PM

Winter: 06:00 AM - 09:00 AM in the morning and in afternoon from 02:00 PM- 05:00 PM

Closing Dates of Jeep Safari

Tadoba National Park remains closed from 1st July to 15 October every year. On 26 th January and on 1st May, only morning safaris are available.
